Cooper-Standard Automotive Appoints Wenzl Vice President, Corporate Communications

Sharon WenzlNovi, Mich., September 18, 2007 - Cooper-Standard Automotive has appointed Sharon S. Wenzl to Vice President, Corporate Communications. She will be located at the Company's world headquarters in Novi, Mich., reporting to Allen Campbell, CFO.

Wenzl will be responsible for leading the corporate communications function, planning and implementing strategic corporate communications programs in support of the Company's overall vision. She will work closely with Cooper-Standard's global leadership team to align communications with the company's business initiatives and growth opportunities.

Wenzl brings significant experience to Cooper-Standard Automotive. Prior to joining the company, she held several executive positions in the automotive industry. Most recently she was the principal/owner in the Laramie Group a public relations firm providing corporate communications services to various industries. Prior to that, she was Sr. Vice President, Global Human Resources & Communications for Tower Automotive where she fulfilled an important leadership role during a very challenging time at that company. While at Freudenberg-NOK, Wenzl held several increasingly responsible positions. In her last assignment with Freudenberg, she was Vice President, Human Resources and Communications.

Wenzl earned her B.A. in Communication from Michigan State University and an M.A. in Communication form Eastern Michigan University. She also attended Boston University where she completed a specialist graduate program in Communications.
