Requirements:
  • 10 plus years of combined experience in public accounting and a corporate accounting environment.
  • Exceptional technical accounting interpretation skills. Extensive experience in application of GAAP.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to manage effective.
  • Relationships with division controllers, internal and external auditors.
  • Forward thinking with a high level of integrity and ethical behavior who proactively addresses issues and implements best practices continuously.
  • Excellent computer skills. Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Description: Responsible for consulting with management on the impact of accounting changes or changes required to bring a location or accounting practice into compliance with GAAP or a Corporate Accounting Policy. Provide ongoing assistance and training to various operating units to understand and attain compliance with U.S. GAAP and Corporate Financial Policies. Provides interpretation and application of all new and existing accounting pronouncements. Coordinate, assist and provide guidance in the Control Self Evaluation audits of NA Division plants and departments. Reviews and provides guidance on corrective actions from the SOX Steering Committee CAL. Prepares and records necessary journal entries to balance Intercompany accounts. Prepares other miscellaneous period end journal entries for NA Division. Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations for Intercompany and other miscellaneous G/L balances. Functioning as part of the Accounting and Compliance team interacting heavily with both internal and external auditors to ensure policies and procedures are in compliance. May be required to perform other tasks or special projects as specified by the Manager of Accounting and Compliance.

  • High School diploma required.
  • Associate degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum one to two years of accounts receivable and/or collections experience required preferably in automotive environment.
  • Experience with a large multi-national manufacturing company preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Application (specifically Excel, Word and Outlook) required.
  • OEM software knowledge a plus.
  • JD Edwards and Cforia knowledge a plus. Spanish language skills a plus.

Description: Handle high volume, multi-currency, multi-million dollars customer receivable accounts. Utilize JD Edwards, Excel, Cforia and customer systems effectively to actively work assigned customer accounts. Review and analyze customer aging reports to identify any discrepancies, inconsistencies and delayed payments. Contact customer account payables departments (or other departments as appropriate) regarding open issues. Work with plant, divisional and corporate personnel as necessary to resolve internal issues (i.e. POD, pricing or P.O. etc.). Perform accurate daily cash application based on remittance details. Provide concise and appropriate explanations on past dues amounts. Summarize and accurately report data upon request. Complete special projects and ad hoc reporting including but not limited to audits, internal and external financial reports as needed.

  • Processing and procedures for separation of development, test, and production system management and/or willingness to learn a Team Foundations Studio and SharePoint knowledge
  • Experience as acting Business Analysts for end user requirements ability to translate business requirement to workflow and web application solutions and skills to identify similarities and difference to provide “global solutions” .
  • A general understanding of the software toolset used by the group hired into. Experience in administration, software deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of and experience working with the functional systems for the area assigned, such as (but not limited to) Manufacturing, Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, etc. preferred.
